BIRD PORTRAITS

BIRDS: If you would like a portrait of your favourite bird, simply mail me or email me a picture of the bird and I can give you a quote for the cost of the embroidery. If you decide that you are not interested in an embroidery I will return your picture at no charge. My bird portraits are worked hand embroidery using a single strand of DMC floss in the needle at one time, typically a range of 12 - 16  different coloured threads are used in the whole embroidery. The portrait is worked in long and short stitches, thousands of stitches are worked in the same direction and colour as the feathers of the bird that I am working. The stitches catch the light giving the feathers a glossy look as in nature.

A portrait begins at $650 Canadian dollars for a 4 inch by 4 inch embroidery.

$950 Canadian dollars for a 5 inch by 5 inch embroidery.

$1260 Canadian dollars for a 6 inch by 6 inch embroidery.

$1568 Canadian dollars for a 7 inch by 7 inch embroidery.
