Kit of the Month The kit of the month special for August is any of the three Pansy Needle Painting Kits reduced by $7.00 Canadian Dollars each. The pansies are beginner's kits in the needle painting technique and are a very good introduction to this realistic form of hand embroidery. The embroidery is worked in long and short straight stitches in a single strand of DMC floss. The stitches are blended together using different shades to create dimension and depth. The pansies are great designs to practice the long and short stitch whether you are a beginner or advanced embroiderer. The instructions for my kits are detailed with lots of instructions and diagrams and are written with the beginner in mind....I am offering free correspondence incase there are any questions you need answering as you are working the embroidery and free ongoing critique where you can email me pictures of the embroidery as you are working it and I will email you constructive comments. What's New? I now have two new needle painting kits available: Red Fox: Is an intermediate to advanced embroidery kit. The instructions will give you a good insight on how to blend different colours to create the natural effect of fur on an animal. Robin in Grass: Is an intermediate to advanced embroidery kit. The instructions will show a variety of different types of satin stitch used on the feathers and long and short stitch on the body. What's Happening in August? I will be teaching in the USA from the 21st of the August until the 6th of September and then I will be away again from the 13th of September to the 28th of September. During these times I will not be able to answer emails, process order or return telephone calls. I will be able to fill orders and answer emails that I receive up to the 20th of August and then on the 7th to the 12th of September and then after the 28th of September.
