The satin stitch looks good, nice angle and stitches look close together, you were able to keep the stitches smoother on one edge of the section. I take it the smooth edge was the side you took the needle down?
It is easier to keep that edge smoother as you can see where the needle goes.
A slightly uneven edge against the body is not a concern as it will be covered by the body.
Take extra care when working the toes to make the edges smooth.
