The Metal Thread Pendant Swirl design is a beginners project. The kit of supplies comes with a detailed instruction booklet with lots of diagrams as well as a PDF file with colour work-in-progress pictures of the entire stitching process on the pendant which is 18 pages long and with over 60 colour work-in-progress pictures for making the pendant.
The pendant takes 6 to 10 hours to make.

Mellor
A mellor also known as a mellore or melor is a perfectly manufactured tool for metal thread embroidery.
The mellor is made out a soft smooth metal that is not abrasive.
The narrower end is used as a stiletto to widen a hole in the ground fabric to plunge a heavy twisted cord or metal thread to the back.
The round end is used to nudge and push metal threads into position and is gentler on the metal threads than using tweezers as the mellor has been polished and has smooth rounded edges so less likely to damage the metal thread.

The goldwork scissors are perfect for goldwork embroidery. The arrow head blades of the scissors are fine, sharp, slightly curved and very finely serrated for precision cutting.
The finger holes are large for embroidery scissors, so they are easy to pick up and hold into position when cutting the metal threads.

The Metal Thread Pendant Swirl design is a beginners project in which you can choose your own colours making your pendant unique to you. The kit of supplies comes with a instruction booklet and PDF file with colour work-in-progress pictures to work the pendant.

The embroidery is worked by sewing down strands of pearl purl which is a coiled metal thread, the stitches are hidden in the coils of the thread. In-between the lines of pearl purl are sections of check purl chips (soft metal beads).
The finished pendant can be painted with a clear non-yellowing varnish so it does not tarnish.
