The Aida fabric is 100% cotton. I have 14 count and 16 count available.
The threads of the fabric are easy to count as they are are all the same size making it easy to see the holes in the fabric. 14 or 16 represents how many threads of fabric there are to the inch. 14 count fabric is easiest to see.
The fabric is durable, firm to the feel and handles taking out stitches well and can be washed once the embroidery is complete.

Silk Gimp Cord
Filament Silk Wrapped Gimp is a recreated thread from the 17th century that was used on period needlework.
It is made by wrapping a silk core thread with another silk thread around the outside, making a very fine cord. The thread is stiff like a gold thread and will not tarnish.
It can be used as an outline and couched down with a matching colour thread and it will also fit into a size 4 crewel embroidery needle and can be used for surface embroidery stitches.

Fabric – Muslin Southern Belle Sale
SALE: The Southern Belle Muslin Fabric is a smooth and fine quality cotton fabric with 200 threads to the inch (regular muslin fabric thread count starts at 70).
