Battenberg lace is a form white work of hand embroidery, which Beppy stitched in colour.  A blossoming apple tree is worked in buttonhole stitch bars for the blossoms and leaves and tree using yellow cotton thread on closely woven yellow cotton fabric. Areas between the buttonhole bars in the tree are cut away leaving spaces, creating depth to the needlework. Displayed in a blank greeting card.  Approximate time it took to make: 6 hours.
