The angle looks good on the dark brown satin stitch and the stitching looks great. It is OK if the angle is different, you will not notice the angle of the stitches when the French knots and the body of the bird have been stitched.
Your split stitch line cracks also look really good.
Where there are two rows of split stitch on the crack, use the same color on the 2nd row as the first row, the purpose of the 2nd row is to make the crack wider. Please see the diagram attached.
The color of the cracks are on page 27 of the instruction booklet. You do not use the color for the dark brown satin stitch on the cracks.
