“I have taken several classes with Tanja and each one has led me to want more. I began with the Thread Painted Purple Pansy which I didn’t do too well. I followed that with a couple of crewel pieces which I loved and improved on my skills. Then I returned to thread painting. After all, it was a challenge I just had to face. I completed the Acorn Woodpecker which my husband insisted I frame so he could put it on his desk, and then I did this little landscape. I am looking forward to doing another bird or even more, another landscape and even some people, if they are ever offered. Tanja’s instructions are superb and her feedback is very unique. So, thank you, Tanja. I’ll be back!”

“I wanted to learn needle painting and with the encouragement of my sister-in-law, I registered for Tanja’s Mini Landscape online class. It was my first attempt at needle painting. I worked with beautiful green and blue colors. I learned so much and it gave me confidence to continue with this embroidery technique. Tanja’s instructions are well written and the diagrams are very detailed. I truly enjoyed participating in this online class!”

“The Landscape in miniature was quite challenging for me but with Tanja’s excellent instructions along with her invaluable feedback in the class I was encouraged to keep trying and learnt a lot that I can apply to other projects.
Tanja’s design & shading is so artistic that I wanted the mountains and fields to be the focus. After leaving out the tree, I decided to use the second darkest green instead of black with the gold for the border.

“In the past, I have taken three, in person, embroidery classes with Tanja, and have found her to be an informed, and skilled teacher. Initially, the miniature landscape embroidery class, seemed a bit challenging. What made it understandable, however, was Tanja’s description of the work, as merely a split stitch, translated into needle painting. Despite my having to wear magnifying glasses, plus ‘mag eyes’, as well, as at times, a hand held magnifying glass to identify missed stitches, I was able to proceed with little problem. When I finally submitted my work to Tanja, she was able to point out missed areas, which were easily corrected. This was an enjoyable class.”
