The smocking is worked on light purple cotton gingham fabric using white cotton thread. The back of the bag is a light purple cotton fabric. The inside of the bag is the light purple gingham fabric, the bag is finished using a sewing machine and has three compartments and a white ribbon closure. Approximate time it took to make: 12 hours.

The Poinsette is worked in stumpwork embroidery. The nine red petals are worked separately in button hole stitch and long and short stitch using red cotton embroidery thread and then sewn down on to cream 14 count aida fabric which has the Poinsette leaves worked in shades of green cotton embroidery thread in cross-stitch. Random cross-stitches are worked around the leaves in gold embroidery thread. The center of the flower is filled with different size gold beads. Finished in a wooden hoop with a red ribbon at the top. Approximate time it took to make: 10 hours.
