Battenberg lace is a form white work of hand embroidery, which Beppy stitched in colour.  A apple tree is worked in buttonhole stitch bars for the apples and leaves and tree using green cotton thread on closely woven green cotton fabric. Areas between the buttonhole bars in the tree are cut away leaving spaces, creating depth to the needlework. Displayed in a blank greeting card.  Approximate time it took to make: 6 hours.
