Beppy Berlin’s Needlework Gallery Page 3

Beppy Berlin is my mother who greatly inspired me to stitch and to become a designer.

In my childhood mum taught me different forms of needlework and crafts, I remember fun days in the kitchen sitting around the table by the warmth of the rayburn with my mum and sister creating Christmas cards or trying out needlework techniques. My sister never really took to needlework but fondly remembers how mum was so willing to inspire us.

Mum loved trying out lots of needlework techniques and was a part time teacher for over 50 years. She enjoyed showing others how to stitch, she inspired people and made many friends through teaching needlework.

In January 2023 my Dad passed away from a fast progressing cancer, we knew Mum had been experiencing memory loss and hadn’t been teaching classes for a couple of years, but we did not realize how much as Dad had been covering up her dementia so that he could care for her. After Dads death my sister and I realized mums need for 24 hour care and have found her a caring home that supports her needs that family and her friends can visit regularly and take her out. She loves to go out for coffee and cake and people watching, below is a picture of us after coffee and cake at a chilly England beach.

This gallery shows the needlework pieces that mum has stitched over the last 50 years. She has stitched well over 300 pieces and she kept the pieces that she stitched so we have the pleasure of enjoying them, but we are looking for homes for some of her beautiful needlework as we don’t have room to display them all 🙂 and it is a shame that they sit in storage and not be enjoyed.

If you are interested in purchasing one of Beppy’s embroideries please email me with the embroidery name and # and I will set up an invoice on my website for you to pay. An embroidery can be mailed with an order to save you on shipping costs. Embroideries are sold at less than their true value as finding homes for the embroideries is important to us.
