Fabric – Canvas 18 Count Mono
Zweigart 18 Count Mono Canvas (18 holes to the inch) is the canvas that I use for my Hapsburg Lace Designs.
The canvas is made from cotton and is stiff so you do not necessarily require a frame to work on the canvas unless you have very tight tension and are pulling on your stitches hard or overlaying a lot of canvas work stitches as this can warp the canvas.
