“I found the body very challenging as I expected from the “advanced” label, but the project was very enjoyable, especially the husks and the tail.

Thank you for your very detailed instructions which I tried to follow for the most part.  I found consulting the cover photo very helpful also.”

“My embroidery interests have grown to landscapes and making life-like animals, birds, plants.  Taking Tanja’s class was another step in meeting my goals.

Having completed Tanja’s kit, I am tempted to try doing a dog on my own, putting into practice the techniques and stitches learned.

The instructional materials are orderly, with illustrations that are very well detailed and easy to follow.

Thanks so much Tanja”

“One day I saw the picture of a bird in the web, I do not well understood at the outset that this was an embroidery and when I realized, I looked the person who had made such a masterful work and she was Tanja Berlin. Then I started to seek through the web until I arrived to her website and from there is among my most visited sites, because I see beauty and I want to learn from her.
Still I can not to write or to read in correct english, so, help to me with a translator for everything, but I understand very well the explanations and diagrams that have their kits because they are very clear and didactic. First, I read everything and translate, then with the original I start to work with them. For me this material is an invaluable treasure, because where I live I do not have access to such material or courses and much less so much quality.
Also I think the sound advice, criticism and kindness during the development of embroidery to conclude without a time limit, is very important thing for me and something that will always appreciate.
There are many kits of embroidery on the web and many sites that sell them, it is very difficult to find a site like the Berlin Embroidery, which offers exceptional quality in all aspects and developed by a real artist and teacher as Tanja. That’s my opinion.
Also each book of explanations of her kits for me, are other resources for others embroidery that I do and source of new ideas.
I think I owe a lot to Tanja Berlin, is an honour for me to know her and I like as a student to remains step by step thing she does, because I am continually surprised with the art I see in his designs and his needle.
Dear teacher, I am not tired to say thank you for guiding my hands and my inspiration”

“What an interesting and satisfying project! I have waited to stitch this piece ever since I saw the first photos of it on your web site.

It was worth the wait (except for the fact that I don’t like to wait :-). I learned a lot and can’t wait to try the fur technique on another project that I have in mind.”

“This work is the result of my traveling from my home in Christchurch, New Zealand, to Adelaide, Australia to attend Tanja’s class at the October Beating about the Bush embroidery convention.

My main intention was to improve my thread painting technique.

All my expectations were fulfilled and what I had thought of as a means to an end became much more.

I thoroughly recommend both her kit sets and her teaching abilities”
