Jacobean Tree with Bird Kit – Discontinued
The Jacobean Tree with Bird is an advanced crewel surface embroidery technique. I am discontinuing this kit.
If you are new to the technique you may want to try a smaller design first as this design is large and will take some time to stitch.
The design uses traditional Jacobean motifs and is stitched in 14 traditional Jacobean colours in Appleton crewel wool on traditional linen twill fabric. The design comes printed on the fabric so you do not have to be concerned about transferring the design yourself.
There are 22 surface embroidery stitches worked on in a single strand of the crewel wool on natural colour traditional Jacobean linen twill fabric.

Peyote Beading Pattern – Bumble Bees: Digital Download PDF
The bumble bees can be worked in even count peyote beading stitch and odd count peyote beading stitch, you will receive PDFs for both methods for both bees which has the bead chart, word chart, colour of beads and amounts used.
The other PDF file has eight pages of tips for working the beaded design in even count and odd count peyote stitch. There are no instructions and diagrams in the PDF file for peyote stitch but there are links to take you to video tutorials and websites instructions such as Jill Wiseman Designs and ThreadaBead that will give you all the information you need to stitch the bumble bees. There are also useful tips like how to replace a broken bead and different methods of working even and odd count peyote stitch.
The beads were specifically chosen so that the beading has an iridescent effect – the beads seem to change colours when viewed from different angles and lighting. This is achieved by using a mixture of transparent beads and opaque beads. You may use your own choice of colours if you wish.
