The beads were specifically chosen so that the beading has an iridescent effect – the beads seem to change colours when viewed from different angles and lighting. This is achieved by using a mixture of transparent beads and opaque beads. You may use your own choice of colours if you wish.

The two Bumble Bees Peyote beadings are created by my imagination and hand drawing in the Loomerly beading app (no Ai or digital generation was used). Bumble Bees have a special place in my heart, they remind me of warm summer days playing in the garden in rural Dorset.
There are at least 25 hours of design time by me in each design.
I spent many hours stitching test bead strips to choose the colours for the beading and then I stitched the beading myself to ensure the colours work.

Bumble Bee #1 (with the lighter wings) is the easier of my two designs as there is less detail in the flowers and bumble bee.
The Bumble Bee designs are worked in Miyuki Delica Beads Size 11/0.
There are 15 colours used over the 2 designs.
Even Count: Bumble Bee #1 has 11 colours and Bumble Bee #2 has 12 colours, each design has 2760 beads, 60 columns of beads and 92 rows of beads (46 beads high).
Odd Count: Bumble Bee #1 has 11 colours and Bumble Bee #2 has 12 colours, each design has 2174 beads, 59 columns of beads and 92 rows of beads (46 beads high) the odd count design.

I used 8-pound crystal FireLine fishing line and a short beading needle to stitch the peyote beading but you can use what is comfortable for you.
Sorry I do not sell the materials to work my beading patterns but I can provide links to recommended on-line bead stores where you can purchase the beads for my patterns in the USA and Canada if requested.
The finished beading measures approximately 3.1 inches wide by 3.1 inches high (8 cm by 8 cm) depending on your sewing tension and fits nicely into a 5.5 inch by 5.5 inch (13. 3/4 cm by 13 3/4 cm) float display case which is used to display jewelry and other dimensional objects. This is a great way to display the beading to view the different colour effects with the light shining through the beads.
You can find them on Amazon by doing a search for Floating Frame or Floating Display Case or Floating Display Holder. There is a picture of a floating frame in the image gallery.
I also show the two beaded bee designs displayed in a 8 inch by 10 inch float frame that I purchased at Michaels craft store.
The beaded picture fits nicely into an acrylic coaster. I purchased the 8 mm deep acrylic coasters for cross-stich from stitchtastic in the UK, they ship internationally.
You can also use the beaded picture for the cover of a felt needle case to keep your beading needles in. I have a PDF instructions on how to make a felt needle case.
You may gift or sell your finished beading at craft shows/fairs but not on the internet, please reference Tanja Berlin as the designer.

Hapsburg Lace Jellyfish Needlework Kits

Fabric – Lugana Black 25 Count – Sale
Lugana fabric is a blend of 52% cotton and 48% rayon.
The fabric has even weave threads so that stitches/patterns will work out more regular than on an uneven weave such as linen fabric. It has a nice smooth and firm surface so that when the embroidery is complete the viewer sees the embroidery and is not distracted by the fabric.
I have few pieces of Black 25 Count Lugana fabric on sale as there is a fold crease down the center of the fabric that may not wash or iron out. Excellent value if you intend to cover the entire surface with stitching.

Jacobean Tree with Bird Kit – Discontinued
The Jacobean Tree with Bird is an advanced crewel surface embroidery technique. I am discontinuing this kit.
If you are new to the technique you may want to try a smaller design first as this design is large and will take some time to stitch.
