Goldwork Sampler
The goldwork sampler is a hand embroidery project. The sampler features four designs worked in metal threads ranging from easy to hard. I designed the sampler to use a lot of the different metal threads that are available.
I provide the instructions for free in the form of a PDF file with 45 pages of diagrams, colour pictures and instructions for working the sampler. You can use the sampler instructions to work the sampler or as a reference manual for sewing down metal threads. It is hard sometimes to put in words how you feel for a loved one and a piece of stitching can speak for you. I have charted the broken hearts for loss of a loved one through death or romance and a valentine heart embroidery for you to make for your loved one.

Blackwork Card Holder Free Instructions
Blackwork Mini Mystery
The blackwork card holder is a great way to display your favourite cards and is an ideal mini mystery project for stitching groups. It is worked in three stages and is suitable for all levels of stitchers. The project can be worked on 16 count or 32 count fabric using DMC embroidery cotton thread or similar embroidery thread.
You do not need to email me for permission to use the design for a group project and you may email students the PDF files and print off the instructions for distribution but please do not publish the instructions on the internet.
Blackwork Silhouette Design Running Rabbit Free Instructions
Free Instructions for the Blackwork Silhouette Design – Rabbit Running.
The design is great for beginners and is worked from a chart and a detailed instruction booklet which has step-by-step numbered diagrams and instructions to guide you through the embroidery.
You have the option of working an outline around the design or leaving it without the outline for an Assisi look.
The original design is worked in Waterlilies variegated silk thread on 28 count Lugana fabric but it can be worked on any size fabric and thread.

The holly is a great design for learning how to do 2-sided (reversible) embroidery, in which the back looks like the front.

The Giraffe is worked in the method of pulled work embroidery using four shades of brown DMC embroidery cotton and stitched on 28 count linen fabric.
