Needles – Tapestry Size 24
Tapestry needles have a blunt end to the point of the needle so that the needle does not catch or pierce the threads of the counted fabric when working from one hole to the next. The tapestry needle has a long eye for easier threading.

Felt

I offer polyester felt or combination of wool 20% and rayon 80% which is a thicker felt good for padding and felt for needle cases.

The spider web patterns are worked from a chart and there are 19 pages of detailed instructions with step-by-step numbered patterns and diagrams to guide you through the embroidery.
There are two separate downloadable PDF files, one for the construction of the goldwork/beading pad case and one for the construction of the needle case, both come with the order of the instructions or kit and instructions.
A goldwork and beading pad is a brilliant piece of Velux/velvet like fabric which you can use to place goldwork threads on and cut them and for spangles and beads on so they will stay in one place rather than skidding across a table surface when working with them.

Hand Made Needle Minder by Tanja Berlin – Purl #1
Needle Minder Hand Made by Tanja Berlin.
This “one of kind” needle minder has a strong magnet in-bedded in the center and the back is backed with black felt. A separate nickel coated/non marking magnet is used to fasten the needle minder to the fabric in the frame.
The needle minder is a safe place to position your needle when you are not stitching on your needlework or turning the frame upside down. Mellor
A mellor also known as a mellore or melor is a perfectly manufactured tool for metal thread embroidery.
The mellor is made out a soft smooth metal that is not abrasive.
The narrower end is used as a stiletto to widen a hole in the ground fabric to plunge a heavy twisted cord or metal thread to the back.
The round end is used to nudge and push metal threads into position and is gentler on the metal threads than using tweezers as the mellor has been polished and has smooth rounded edges so less likely to damage the metal thread.

Scissors: Super Snips – Great for Travel

Stiletto Rosewood 5 Inch
The beautiful rosewood stiletto has a smooth shaft and a tapered point and is 5 inches/12 1/2 cm long.
The rosewood stiletto can be used to enlarge holes in the ground fabric of the embroidery to enable the sewing needle or the ends of threads in goldwork to pass through the fabric easier on counted cotton and silk fabrics.
