Although I no longer sell metal threads for Goldwork Embroidery there are various locations around the world that do and this PDF file is helpful for deciding what threads to get for goldwork embroidery,
This PDF is nicely laid out so that you can print off the pages you want and view the enlarged pictures of the threads against the ruler. I will email you the PDF file once I have processed your payment.

The design is worked on black 25 count Lugana fabric. First a tacked outline of the design is transferred onto the fabric, then the face is worked in simple blackwork pattern in 4 shades of metallic threads and outlined in pearl purl.
The mane is worked in 15 different types of metal in shades of gold, copper and pewter.

Pendant Swirl Video Tutorials
There are 15 videos of the stitch process to make the pendant swirl which have very useful tips for sewing down felt, pearl purl and check purl which can be applied to other goldwork embroidery techniques.

The embroidery is worked by sewing down strands of pearl purl which is a coiled metal thread, the stitches are hidden in the coils of the thread. In-between the lines of pearl purl are sections of gold soft metal beads.

Needle Case Construction Downloadable PDF File
The 32 page downloadable PDF File has colour work-in-progress photos and instructions on how to construct a felt needle case using the French Link book binding technique.
