USA CUSTOMERS: Sorry I can only mail polyester sewing thread to the USA if I am sending it with one of my embroidery kits.
Gutermann polyester sewing thread is used to sew down felt and crochet cotton and the majority of metal threads in goldwork embroidery. The polyester sewing thread is used over cotton or silk as it will not rot over time and is strong and not stretchy.
Yellow thread is used to sew down gold metal threads, grey thread for silver metal threads and brown for copper metal threads.

The 100% beeswax large rose is used to coat sewing thread when working metal thread/goldwork embroidery.
It is especially good for sewing down abrasive metal threads such as bullions, jaceron, lizerine, pearl purl, purl threads and twists as the thread is less likely to snag on the thread and shred or break.
Beeswax is also useful to coat crochet cotton when used for padding metal thread designs. The beeswax stiffens the crochet cotton so that when you sew down the crochet cotton padding you do not get uneven thickness to the padding caused by the tension of the stitches on unwaxed crochet cotton.

The opening of the bag has a zippered seal which you press to close. The 2 by 3 inch acid free bag is 2 mm thick, all other sizes of acid free bags are a sturdy 4 mm thick.
What is the effect of Acid: If threads are stored in a drawer, box or tissue paper that is not acid free, over the years the acid in these materials seep into the threads and gradually rot the fibres.
