Hi I’m Tanja Berlin and I design hand embroidery kits for other embroidery enthusiasts to stitch. I also sell hand embroidery supplies, needlework threads such as goldwork / metal threads and needlework tools that I use myself so I can testify to their quality.
Berlin Embroidery Designs is closed until Monday 6th of May and I will not be mailing orders until after Monday 6th of May, sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

New: Canvas Work Flowers and Bees Design
The flowers and bees is a beginner canvas work design.
There are two designs that can be finished into a needle case OR a goldwork and beading pad case.
The stitches are worked in Perle cotton on 18 count mono canvas.
New: Needle Case Construction Downloadable PDF
The 32 page downloadable PDF File has colour work-in-progress photos and instructions on how to construct a felt needle case using the French Link book binding technique.
The instructions can be adapted for any size needle case, by changing the measurements for the pages of felt, length of ribbon and thread for the desired size needle case.
I provide this PDF file for free with the purchase of one of my Canvas Work Needle Case Kits or my Hapsburg Lace Needle Case Kit.
Metal Threads for Hand Embroidery
Back in Stock: Pearl Purls and Purl Threads
I supply a wide range of hand embroidery metal threads for goldwork embroidery in gold, silver and copper: Bullions, Check Thread, Flatworm, Gimp Cords, Grecian Twist, Jaceron, Japanese Threads, Lizerine, Lurex, Milliary Wire, Passing Threads, Pearl Purl, Plate, Purl Threads, Rococco, Spangles, Tambour, Twisted Threads.
I am discontinuing Gold 2% WM Metal threads as the cost of the wire to make the threads has gone up by 40%, once sold I will not be bringing in the threads again. The gold 2% threads have 2% gold in the plating whereas the gilt threads have 0.5% gold in the plating so the gold 2% threads tend to have a deeper gold colour.
Beppy Berlin Needlework Gallery
Gallery | Embroideries Available for Purchase
Beppy Berlin is my mother who greatly inspired me to stitch and to become a designer.
Mum loved trying out lots of needlework techniques and was a part time teacher for over 50 years. She stitched small designs and enjoyed showing others how to stitch, she inspired people and made many friends through teaching needlework.
This gallery shows some of the needlework pieces that mum has stitched over the last 50 years. I will be adding more pictures in the future.
