I carry four sizes of Grecian twists:

  • Very fine Grecian twist (baby) is the finest of the Grecian twists and is approximately 1 mm across the width of the thread. I carry a two toned and individual tone in the thread.
  • Fine Grecian Twist is approximately 1.2 mm across the width of the thread.
  • Medium Grecian Twist is approximately 1.8 mm across the width of the thread.
  • Large Grecian Twist is the largest of the Grecian twists and is approximately 2 mm across the width of the thread.

The four strands that make up the Grecian Twist are comprised of a fine wire wrapped around a fibre core. The wire is copper based with a gold plating and will tarnish over time.

Grecian Twist is couched down by sewing the stitch at the same angle as the twist of the cord with the stitch hidden in the middle of the cord so it is invisible.

Lizerine is a wire that is wound into a tight coil that looks like a strand of gold pearls. The wire can be stretched to create different effects and used as outlines for designs or as a filling and can be combined with other threads for interesting effects.
