The Surfine is finer and comes as a 100 meter spool and can be used to sew down: T71 and T72 Japan Threads, No. 8 (K24 and No. 9 (K3) Japanese Threads, Kreinik Japan Threads, Passing Threads, 16 x 3 Check Thread and 8 x 2 Check Thread, Flatworm, Lurex Thread, Fine and Very Fine Grecian Twist, Fine and Very Fine Rococco, Spangles.

Use Gutterman’s polyester sewing thread to sew down Bullions, Cords – Twists, Jaceron, Lizerine and Pearl Purl as the thread is stronger and less prone to damaging when sewing down these metal threads. You can also use the Gutterman’s polyester thread to sew down any of the metal threads shown on the website.
