The ToolTron safety scissors with blunt ends are the perfect lace hand embroidery scissors and are highly recommended for needlework techniques that require precision cutting such as Carrickmacross Lace, Fine White Work, Hardanger and Drawn Thread.
The blunt ended scissors enables you to get close to the edge of the area to be cut without snipping the fabric with the point of the scissors by mistake.

How the Embroidery is Worked: The fine embroidery is created by stitching three layers of fabric (two layers of shadow linen with a layer of net sandwiched in-between) are sewn together with embroidery stitches. When all the embroidery has been worked layers of linen are cut away from the back or the front of the work. This will leave some areas with two layers of fabric, some with one layer of fabric and some with just net creating a dimensional look to the embroidery. On the single layer of fabric pulled-work stitches are worked, in the net areas net stitches are worked.
The embroidery can be mounted on a coloured background which shows up the density of the fabric layers and the white embroidery threads.

The Key to Punchy’s Heart even count peyote beading design is created by Tanja in the good old-fashioned method of imagination and hand drawing in the Loomerly beading app (no Ai or digital generation was used).
